How should I decorate my room?

Things I can’t change:
walls are beige
desk and dresser are black with beige surface.

I was thinking:
purple and white comforter
pink or black or maybe green small desk lamp?
pink curtains
purple or yellow shelves?
mirror with pink border

Is that too random?
any suggestions?

Can too little light destroy vision?

I study about 9-11 hours/day. The landlord here did not give me adequate light. I have a small desk lamp that I use. Otherwise, the place is rather poorly lit. My budget is pretty damned tight. Is it worth investing in a lamp, or can the human eye deal with insufficient lighting?

Desk lamp problem, lamp or bulb?

I bought a desk lamp that uses the U shaped fluorescent bulbs. When I go to turn it on, it takes a few seconds, flickers a few times before turning on, sometimes there’s even a small pause between flickers. Rarely, but it happens, the light does not turn on, and I would have to turn it off and back on for it to turn on.

Does the problem lie in the bulb or the lamp it self?

how should i decorate this small space?

im moving to a new house, there is a small room inside our bedroom i’m going to decorate. it is small but big enough for a small desk, lamp, chair…not that im set on those items lol. of any room in the house my hubby said i can decorate this one so that means as girly as i like but still comfy for him to sit in with me,,, so any suggestions?
Uh yeah seamstress obviously u don’t know marriage is a compromise…that’s y I said I wanted a girly space for me bc I’m not going to paint my living room I share w my husband pink or decorate it w floral prints or something I’m still decorating my whole house

Bright headlights shone through the snow covered window, a silhouette obscured by the thin layer of ice crystals that had frozen on the glass’ surface, creating an opaque laminate. It gave a bleary and foggy illusion, as if my perception was defective and incapable of being dispatched with clarity – it only added to my prodigious sense of trepidation and dread. A shiver ran up my spine, my muscles tensing and convulsing from the frigid temperature that seemed to linger on my flesh. I tightened my grasp around the blanket, pulling it closer as I nuzzled deeper into the couch’s crevasses, trying to find a warmth that seemed so unattainable.

The room was indistinct – a faint glow emanating from a small desk lamp that provided minimum illumination against the darkness that seemed to consume the room fully. It mirrored my thoughts impeccably.

Oh, but it seemed as though I was still waiting for my light to arrive and brighten the desolate darkness inside my mind – to ease the burdens of the day’s events.

My eyes fell shut as exhaustion hit me like a wrecking ball, tremors continuously going throughout my body. My limbs felt heavy and sore, weighed down as though they were filled with sand – unmovable and tender with pain. I bit down on my lip, trying to force myself to stop shivering, and was met with a sickly sweet taste, a metallic twinge lingering in my mouth. I immediately regretted the action.

I heard the door of our bedroom open, the lock retracting with an audible click as he entered, a soft sigh escaping his lips. Light pooled in from the hallway, and I couldn’t help but smirk at the irony of the situation – my light had arrived. Riley.

I found myself looking up at him, scrutinizing every detail of his appearance, almost as though I was completely entranced by his existence. The way his gray eyes shone with clarity, the blue speckles almost resembling the ice crystals that covered our bedroom window. The way his chestnut hair fell in his eyes, the copper tints shrouded by the lack of adequate lighting. Riley had a very built physique, and the muscles in his arms and torso were prominent through his thin white shirt. His cheeks were ablaze with a dark red hue, undoubtedly a result from the contrasting temperatures of the crisp outside air and the warmth of our home.

packing a lamp in my luggage on the plane?

I have a small desk lamp i’d like to take with me on my move from chicago to Hawaii thursday. I don’t want to carry it on so am I allowed to pack it in a suitcase??

Also I’ve gotta pack my computer monitor but only the monitor bc the "tower" is actually a laptop so i’m gonna carry that on with me. Any suggestions on packing the monitor so it doesn’t get damaged?

I don’t want to take many bags and i’ve never even been on a plane before, any packing tips so i can get as much packed without a lot of bags?
for me to send the monitor and lamp it’ll cost me almost 150dollars. Can I carry the monitor on with me in my carry on? The lamp is no biggie if it gets broken

ne 1 have a pic of painted table top palm tree lamp Home Depot in FL sold my lamp stolen nd pic 4 cops HELP!!

My house robbed & palm tree lamps stolen. The shade is almost like a bell shape made of glass, the inside of shade is painted palm tree. Mine is (was) approx 12 – 15 inches tall maybe. Lamp sold at Home Depot in FL, it not on H/D site, they sold a lg lamp, small desk lamp, hanging one all had same painted palm tree. Base of lamp a brownish bronze color. If anyone has a lamp similar, could you pls email to cindimckernan@yahoo.com with a pic of the lamp I may have a chance for police to find and also maybe catch the person that robbed my home. Thanks in advance for any help you can give. For everyone, please take pictures of all your belongings, I wish I had picture of everything in my house. I do not have insurance so everything that was stolen is forever gone. I was able to get off website some pics of items I had. I'm afraid the tank is too cold for my dwarf frogs?

I have them in a small bowl and don’t have a heater for it. The water is very cold to the touch and I’m afriad its cooler then 72F, but I don’t know for sure. I have a small desk lamp shining on the bowl to try to warm it up a bit, should I leave it on all night or will they be okay?
